Uses and Benefits of DICORATE 500MG TABLET (VALPROIC ACID 1MG.)

Valproic Acid is mainly used to treat epilepsy and certain mood disorders.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Controlling different types of seizures (fits) in epilepsy
• Preventing manic episodes in bipolar disorder
• Sometimes used for migraine prevention, as advised by a doctor

HOW IT WORKS

• It increases the calming chemical GABA in the brain
• It reduces abnormal, excessive electrical signals that cause seizures
• This helps stabilise mood and prevent seizure episodes

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not a painkiller and does not treat headaches directly, other than migraine prevention
• It is not used for anxiety or everyday stress
• It does not cure epilepsy; it only controls seizures while taken regularly

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take at the same time(s) each day for consistent effect

IF YOU MISS A DOSE
