Uses and Benefits of DUBATRAN-110MG CAPSULE (TRANEXAMIC ACID 110MG)
This medicine is mainly used to control and reduce excessive bleeding in various conditions.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia)
- Bleeding after tooth extraction, especially in people with bleeding disorders
- Bleeding associated with surgery, including nose, prostate, and other procedures
- Nosebleeds (epistaxis) that are recurrent or hard to control
- Hereditary conditions causing abnormal bleeding tendencies, when advised by a specialist
HOW IT WORKS
- It blocks the breakdown of fibrin, a protein that helps blood clot
- By stabilising clots, it prevents further bleeding from the affected area
- It does not cause new clot formation but only stabilises existing clots
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not used to treat blood clots that are already causing blockage in veins or arteries
- It is not a painkiller and does not treat menstrual cramps
- It is not used for general infections or as a first-line treatment for anaemia
- It should not be used as a substitute for treating the underlying cause of bleeding without medical evaluation

SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY
- Sudden vision changes or blurred vision
- Signs of a blood clot such as leg swelling, pain, chest pain, or breathlessness
- Severe allergic reaction with swelling of face, lips, or throat, or difficulty breathing
- Seizures, especially after high doses given by injection
- Severe dizziness or fainting

How to Use DUBATRAN-110MG CAPSULE (TRANEXAMIC ACID 110MG)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with a glass of water
- Can be taken with or without food, but taking it with food may reduce stomach upset
- Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew unless your doctor says so
- Do not increase or decrease the dose on your own
- Complete the full course as advised, especially if used for a fixed number of days during periods
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take the missed dose as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
- If you miss doses frequently, discuss with your doctor about reminders or adjusting the schedule
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep in the original pack until it is time to take the medicine
- Keep out of reach and sight of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
- Are allergic to tranexamic acid or any of its ingredients
- Have an active blood clot (such as deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism)
- Have a history of clotting disorders unless specifically advised by a specialist
- Have severe kidney impairment without dose adjustment by your doctor
