Torsemide 20mg is mainly used to treat fluid retention (oedema) and high blood pressure.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Swelling of legs, feet or abdomen due to heart failure
- Fluid buildup caused by liver disease (cirrhosis)
- Fluid retention due to kidney disease
- High blood pressure, often along with other medicines
HOW IT WORKS
- It acts on the kidneys to increase the amount of salt and water removed in urine
- This reduces the extra fluid in the body, easing swelling and breathlessness
- Removing excess fluid also helps lower blood pressure
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not a painkiller and does not treat pain or fever
- It does not cure the underlying heart, liver or kidney disease, only manages fluid symptoms
- It should not be used for weight loss or general dehydration therapy

How to Use DYTOR 20MG TABLET (Torsemide 20mg)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day in the morning
- Swallow the tablet with a glass of water, with or without food
- Try to take it at the same time every day to maintain steady effect
- Avoid taking it late in the evening as it may disturb sleep due to increased urination
- Do not stop taking it suddenly without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
- If it is already late in the day, skip the missed dose and continue with your normal schedule
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and moisture
- Keep in the original packaging until ready to use
- Keep out of reach of children and pets
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
