This combination medicine is mainly prescribed to treat fluid retention (oedema) and swelling associated with heart failure, liver disease (cirrhosis with ascites), and certain kidney disorders. It may also be used to help control blood pressure in some cases.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Reducing swelling in legs, ankles, and abdomen due to fluid retention
• Managing fluid overload in heart failure
• Treating ascites (fluid in the abdomen) caused by liver disease
• Supporting management of certain kidney conditions with fluid retention

HOW IT WORKS

• Torsemide is a loop diuretic that makes the kidneys remove excess salt and water through urine
• Spironolactone is a potassium-sparing diuretic that also removes excess fluid but helps prevent the loss of potassium that torsemide can cause
• Together they balance fluid removal while protecting potassium levels

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not a painkiller and does not treat pain or infection
• It is not meant for quick weight loss or general detox
• It should not be used as a first-choice treatment for mild, uncomplicated high blood pressure without medical advice

How to Use DYTOR PLUS 10MG TABLET (Torsemide 10mg + Spironolactone 50mg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily in the morning
• Swallow the tablet with water; it can be taken with or without food unless advised otherwise
• Do not increase or decrease the dose on your own
• Avoid taking it late in the evening as it may cause you to wake up at night to urinate
• Continue regular blood tests for potassium and kidney function as advised by your doctor

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take the missed dose as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
• Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep the medicine in its original packaging or container
• Keep out of reach of children and pets

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to torsemide, spironolactone, or sulfonamide-related drugs
• Have very high potassium levels (hyperkalemia)
• Have severe kidney failure with no urine output (anuria)
• Have Addison's disease (adrenal insufficiency)
