Uses and Benefits of EMBETA-R 5MG TABLET (Metoprolol 50mg + Ramipril 5mg)
This combination medicine is mainly used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and to support heart function in certain heart conditions.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Control of high blood pressure
- Management of heart failure along with other medicines
- Reducing strain on the heart after a heart attack, as advised by a doctor
- Long-term protection of heart and blood vessels in people at risk
HOW IT WORKS
- Metoprolol is a beta-blocker; it slows the heart rate and reduces the force of heart contraction, lowering blood pressure
- Ramipril is an ACE inhibitor; it relaxes and widens blood vessels by blocking a hormone that narrows them
- Together they lower blood pressure more effectively and reduce workload on the heart
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not a painkiller and does not treat body pain or fever
- Not used for asthma or breathing problems
- Not a first-choice treatment for irregular heartbeat without doctor evaluation
- Not meant for occasional or as-needed use; it is a regular daily treatment
This medicine should only be used under medical supervision and not for self-diagnosed conditions.
