WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

HOW IT WORKS

• Signs of urinary or genital infection that worsen quickly

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily with a meal
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew
• Take it at the same time each day to maintain steady blood sugar control
• Continue healthy eating and physical activity along with this medicine
• Do not stop the medicine even if you feel well, unless your doctor advises

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one
• If you miss doses often, inform your doctor

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Have a history of metabolic acidosis
