This combination medicine is commonly prescribed for acid reflux, heartburn, indigestion, and related stomach discomfort along with nausea or bloating.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
- Acidity and heartburn
- Indigestion with nausea, bloating or fullness
- Stomach discomfort caused by excess acid along with delayed stomach emptying
HOW IT WORKS
- Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that reduces acid production in the stomach
- Domperidone increases the movement of the stomach and intestine, helping food move through faster
- Domperidone also blocks signals in the brain that cause nausea and vomiting
- Together they relieve acid-related symptoms and improve stomach emptying
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not a painkiller for general body pain
- Not meant for infections or fever
- Not a first-line treatment for occasional mild indigestion without medical advice
- Not for long-term use without doctor supervision

How to Use ESOFAG D CAPSULE (ESOMEPRAZOLE + DOMPERIDONE)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor
- Usually taken once daily, before a meal, preferably in the morning
- Swallow the tablet or capsule whole with water; do not chew or crush unless your doctor says it is safe
- Do not increase the dose or take it for longer than advised
- Continue taking it for the full duration even if you feel better, unless your doctor tells you to stop
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from heat and direct sunlight
- Keep in a dry place away from moisture
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
