Febuxostat 80mg is used mainly to treat chronic gout caused by high uric acid levels (hyperuricemia) in the body.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Managing high uric acid in people who cannot tolerate other similar medicines

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day

• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
• Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, as it works long-term
• Drink plenty of water while on this medicine unless your doctor says otherwise

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
