This composition is used to treat mixed dyslipidaemia, a condition where a person has both high cholesterol and high triglyceride levels in the blood.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Lowering high LDL (bad) cholesterol
• Lowering high triglyceride levels
• Raising HDL (good) cholesterol
• Reducing the risk of heart disease in people with mixed lipid disorders

HOW IT WORKS

• Atorvastatin blocks an enzyme in the liver that makes cholesterol, reducing LDL production
• Fenofibrate activates a receptor that increases breakdown of fats, lowering triglycerides
• Together they improve the overall cholesterol and triglyceride balance

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for immediate relief of chest pain or heart attack

• Unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, especially with fever or dark urine (possible muscle breakdown)
• Yellowing of skin or eyes, dark urine, severe fatigue (signs of liver problems)
• Severe stomach pain (possible pancreas or gallbladder problem)
• Signs of allergic reaction such as rash, swelling of face/lips, difficulty breathing
• Unusual bleeding or bruising

How to Use FIBATOR 5MG TABLET (ATORVASTATIN 5MG+FENOFIBRATE 145MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day
• Take with food to reduce stomach upset, unless your doctor advises otherwise
• Swallow the tablet/capsule whole with water; do not crush or chew unless instructed
• Try to take it at the same time every day for best effect
• Continue taking it even if you feel well, as cholesterol control needs regular use
• Do not stop suddenly without consulting your doctor

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose
• Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep in the original pack until it is time to take it
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to atorvastatin, fenofibrate, or any ingredient in the medicine

• Have gallbladder disease
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
