Uses and Benefits of FIBATOR EZ TABLET (ATORVASTATIN 10MG+FENOFIBRATE 160MG+EZETIMIBE 10MG)

This medicine is used to manage high cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood, especially when a single medicine alone does not give adequate control.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Lowering LDL (bad) cholesterol
• Lowering high triglyceride levels
• Raising HDL (good) cholesterol in some patients
• Reducing risk of heart attack and stroke in people with high cholesterol and heart disease risk factors

HOW IT WORKS

• Atorvastatin reduces cholesterol production in the liver
• Fenofibrate lowers triglycerides and increases HDL levels
• Ezetimibe reduces absorption of cholesterol from the intestine
• Together they give a more complete control of blood lipid levels

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not a treatment for obesity or weight loss
• Not used for immediate relief of chest pain or heart attack
• Not a substitute for diet and lifestyle changes
• Not recommended for children

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Headache
• Nausea or stomach upset
• Diarrhoea or constipation
• Muscle aches

LESS COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Gas or bloating
• Tiredness
• Mild rash or itching
• Sleep disturbance

SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY

• Unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness with dark urine (possible muscle breakdown)
• Yellowing of skin or eyes, dark urine, severe stomach pain (possible liver problem)
• Signs of gallstones such as severe pain in upper right abdomen
• Severe allergic reaction with swelling of face, lips, throat or difficulty breathing
• Unusual bleeding or bruising

How to Use FIBATOR EZ TABLET (ATORVASTATIN 10MG+FENOFIBRATE 160MG+EZETIMIBE 10MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily in the evening or at night
• Swallow the tablet with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
• Take at the same time each day for best results
• Continue taking even if you feel well, as cholesterol control needs regular use
• Follow a low-fat diet and exercise as advised alongside this medicine

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep in original pack until it is time to take it
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use beyond the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Have active liver disease or unexplained persistent high liver enzymes
• Have severe kidney disease
• Have known gallbladder disease
• Are allergic to atorvastatin, fenofibrate, ezetimibe or any ingredient in this medicine

TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU

• Have a history of liver or kidney problems
• Have a history of muscle disorders
• Drink alcohol regularly
• Have diabetes or thyroid disease
• Are planning pregnancy

MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT

• Other cholesterol-lowering drugs or fibrates
• Blood thinners like warfarin
• Certain antibiotics or antifungal medicines
• Ciclosporin and other immunosuppressants
• Grapefruit juice in large amounts
