Uses and Benefits of FLUNIL-10 CAPSULE (Fluoxetine 10mg)

Fluoxetine 10mg is mainly prescribed to treat depression and certain anxiety disorders, including obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and some eating disorders.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treating major depressive disorder
• Managing obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
• Treating panic disorder
• Managing bulimia nervosa (as advised by a specialist)
• Sometimes used for premenstrual dysphoric disorder

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily in the morning
• Can be taken with or without food
• Swallow the tablet or capsule with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
• Do not stop taking suddenly without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better
• It may take several weeks to notice full benefit

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
• Try to take your dose at the same time each day to build a routine

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to fluoxetine or any of its ingredients
