Uses and Benefits of FORMOFLO FORTE TC (FORMOTEROL 12MCG + FLUTICASONE PROPIONATE 500MCG)
This combination medicine is used for the long-term management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Regular maintenance treatment of asthma in patients who need both a bronchodilator and steroid
- Long-term control of COPD symptoms like breathlessness and wheezing
- Reducing frequency of asthma or COPD flare-ups (exacerbations)
HOW IT WORKS
- Formoterol is a long-acting beta-agonist (LABA) that relaxes the muscles around the airways, making breathing easier

- Together they open the airways and control inflammation for better long-term breathing control
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not for sudden asthma attacks or acute breathlessness needing immediate relief
- Not a rescue inhaler; a separate fast-acting inhaler should be kept for emergencies
- Not used for common cold, cough due to infection, or short-term chest congestion
- Not suitable for children unless specifically prescribed by a pediatrician
