Uses and Benefits of GANATON OD TABLET (ITOPRIDE (150MG))

Itopride is mainly used to treat functional dyspepsia, a condition where the stomach does not empty properly, causing discomfort after eating.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Relief of bloating and fullness after meals
• Relief of nausea and vomiting linked to slow stomach emptying
• Relief of loss of appetite due to indigestion
• Relief of upper abdominal discomfort caused by functional dyspepsia

HOW IT WORKS

• It increases the release of a chemical called acetylcholine in the gut
• This helps the stomach muscles contract better and move food forward
• It also has a mild anti-nausea effect by blocking certain receptors

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not a painkiller and does not treat stomach ulcers directly
• It is not used for acid reflux caused by structural problems requiring surgery
• It is not a treatment for infections causing stomach upset

HOW TO TAKE IT

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember, before your next meal

• Keep out of reach of children
