This medicine is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in patients who also have low Vitamin D levels.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Controlling high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes
• Supporting Vitamin D levels in diabetic patients who are deficient
• Used when diet and exercise alone do not control blood sugar

HOW IT WORKS

• Glimepiride stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin
• Metformin reduces sugar production by the liver and improves insulin sensitivity
• Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) helps maintain healthy bones, muscles, and calcium absorption

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily with the first main meal
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
• Do not skip meals after taking this medicine, as it can cause low blood sugar
• Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, as diabetes needs long-term control
• Do not increase or decrease the dose on your own

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember with food
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one
