This medicine is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults who also need vitamin D supplementation.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Controlling high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes
• Supporting vitamin D levels in diabetic patients with deficiency
• Used along with diet and exercise as advised by your doctor

HOW IT WORKS

• Glimepiride stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin
• Metformin reduces sugar production by the liver and improves the body's response to insulin

• Yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice)
• Severe allergic reaction with swelling of face, lips, or throat
• Symptoms of high calcium levels such as persistent vomiting, confusion, or excessive thirst
