Uses and Benefits of HIFENAC SR TABLET (Aceclofenac 200mg)

Aceclofenac is commonly prescribed to relieve pain and inflammation in various musculoskeletal conditions.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Osteoarthritis (joint wear and tear)
• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Ankylosing spondylitis (spine inflammation)
• Pain and swelling after injury or surgery
• Muscle pain and back pain

HOW IT WORKS

• It blocks enzymes called cyclo-oxygenase (COX), mainly COX-2
• This reduces the production of prostaglandins, substances that cause pain, swelling, and fever
• The result is less inflammation, reduced swelling, and pain relief

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not a cure for arthritis or joint disease, only symptom relief
• Not meant for long-term use without medical supervision
• Not used for infections, fever alone, or as a first-line treatment for headaches

• Severe skin reaction such as blistering, peeling, or rash with fever
• Swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat, or difficulty breathing (allergic reaction)
• Yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), dark urine
• Sudden chest pain, breathlessness, or weakness on one side of body

How to Use HIFENAC SR TABLET (Aceclofenac 200mg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with or after food to reduce stomach upset
• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not crush or chew unless advised
• Do not increase the dose or take it for longer than prescribed
• Avoid alcohol while on this medicine as it increases stomach irritation risk

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
• Do not store in the bathroom or near a sink

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are in the last trimester of pregnancy
