Uses and Benefits of IDOFNIB 100MG CAPSULE (NINTEDANIB 100MG)
Nintedanib is prescribed for chronic lung conditions where scarring or thickening of lung tissue occurs, and in some cases along with chemotherapy for certain lung cancers.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (a disease causing lung scarring)
- Other chronic fibrosing interstitial lung diseases with progressive scarring
- Certain types of non-small cell lung cancer, usually combined with chemotherapy
HOW IT WORKS
- Blocks specific proteins (tyrosine kinases) involved in growth of blood vessels and fibrous tissue
- Slows down the scarring process in the lungs
- Reduces blood supply that tumours need to grow, helping slow cancer progression
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not a cure for lung fibrosis, only slows its progression
- Not used for common cough, cold, or infections
- Not a first-line treatment for all lung cancers
- Not meant for self-medication without a specialist's supervision

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

- Yellowing of skin or eyes, dark urine (signs of liver problems)
- Severe or persistent diarrhoea leading to dehydration
- Chest pain or signs of heart attack
- Sudden severe abdominal pain (possible bowel perforation)
- Unusual bleeding or bruising
- Signs of blood clots such as leg swelling, pain, or breathlessness

How to Use IDOFNIB 100MG CAPSULE (NINTEDANIB 100MG)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually twice a day
- Swallow the capsule whole with water; do not chew or crush it
- Take with food, ideally at the same times each day, about 12 hours apart
- Continue for as long as your doctor advises, even if you feel well
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- If you miss a dose, skip it and take the next dose at the usual time
- Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one
- If you miss several doses or are unsure, contact your doctor before restarting
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep the capsules in their original blister pack until ready to use
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
