Uses and Benefits of IMALEK 400MG TABLET (IMATINIB MESYLATE 400MG.)

Imatinib Mesylate is used to treat certain types of blood cancer and tumours where an abnormal protein causes uncontrolled cell growth.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML)
• Gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GIST)
• Certain other rare cancers as advised by your oncologist

HOW IT WORKS

• It blocks a specific protein (tyrosine kinase) that signals cancer cells to grow and multiply
• By blocking this signal, it slows down or stops the growth of abnormal cells
• It is a targeted therapy, meaning it acts on specific cancer cell pathways rather than all dividing cells

HOW TO TAKE IT
