Uses and Benefits of IMEXTOR 1000MG TABLET (IMEGLIMIN 1000MG)

Imeglimin 1000mg is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• To lower and control blood sugar (glucose) levels in type 2 diabetes
• Used alone when diet and exercise are not enough
• Used along with other anti-diabetic medicines like metformin or insulin when needed

HOW IT WORKS

• It improves the working of mitochondria (energy centres) in cells
• It helps the pancreas release more insulin in response to glucose
• It reduces the amount of sugar produced by the liver
• It improves the way muscles and tissues use insulin

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not used for type 1 diabetes
• It is not used for diabetic ketoacidosis, an emergency condition
• It is not a treatment for weight loss
• It is not used for gestational diabetes unless specifically advised by a doctor

• Signs of lactic acidosis such as unusual muscle pain, trouble breathing, or extreme tiredness

How to Use IMEXTOR 1000MG TABLET (IMEGLIMIN 1000MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually twice a day
• Can be taken with or without food, as advised by your doctor
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless told to
• Take it at the same times each day to maintain steady blood sugar control
• Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, unless your doctor tells you to stop

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take the missed dose as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
• If you miss doses often, inform your doctor

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep in the original packaging until ready to use
• Keep out of reach of children and pets

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
