Indomethacin is used to treat pain and inflammation caused by various joint and muscle conditions.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Relief of pain and swelling in rheumatoid arthritis
• Osteoarthritis pain management
• Acute gout attacks
• Ankylosing spondylitis
• Bursitis and tendinitis
• Pain and swelling after certain musculoskeletal injuries

HOW IT WORKS

• Blocks enzymes called cyclooxygenase (COX) that produce prostaglandins
• Prostaglandins cause pain, swelling, and inflammation, so reducing them eases symptoms
• Provides both pain relief and anti-inflammatory action

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for mild headaches or common cold symptoms
• Not a treatment for infections

• Chest pain, shortness of breath, or signs of a stroke such as sudden weakness or slurred speech

How to Use INDOCAP 25MG CAPSULE (INDOMETHACIN 25MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with food, milk, or an antacid to lower stomach irritation
• Swallow the tablet or capsule whole with a glass of water unless told otherwise
• Do not crush or chew unless your doctor says it is safe to do so
• Do not increase the dose or take it more often than prescribed
• Avoid lying down immediately after taking it

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight
• Keep in a dry place, away from moisture
• Keep out of reach of children

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
