Uses and Benefits of KEFLOR DROP (CEFACLOR 50MG)
Cefaclor is used to treat infections caused by bacteria that are sensitive to it.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis and pharyngitis
- Ear infections (otitis media)
- Sinus infections
- Urinary tract infections
- Skin and soft tissue infections
HOW IT WORKS
- It belongs to a group of medicines called cephalosporin antibiotics
- It stops bacteria from building their protective outer wall
- Without this wall, the bacteria die and the infection is controlled
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not effective against viral infections like common cold or flu
- It should not be used for infections known to be resistant to cephalosporins
- It is not a painkiller or fever medicine on its own
- It should not be self-prescribed without a doctor's advice

How to Use KEFLOR DROP (CEFACLOR 50MG)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor
- Can be taken with or without food, though food may help reduce stomach upset
- Swallow tablets/capsules with water; shake syrup well before use
- Complete the full course even if you feel better
- Take at evenly spaced intervals as advised
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from heat and moisture
- Keep syrup in a refrigerator if instructed by the pharmacist, but do not freeze
- Keep out of reach of children
- Discard any unused liquid after the recommended period
