Cefaclor is used to treat infections caused by bacteria that are sensitive to it.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis and pharyngitis
• Ear infections (otitis media)
• Sinus infections
• Urinary tract infections
• Skin and soft tissue infections

HOW IT WORKS

• It belongs to a group of medicines called cephalosporin antibiotics
• It stops bacteria from building their protective outer wall
• Without this wall, the bacteria die and the infection is controlled

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not effective against viral infections like common cold or flu
• It should not be used for infections known to be resistant to cephalosporins
• It is not a painkiller or fever medicine on its own
• It should not be self-prescribed without a doctor's advice

• Yellowing of skin or eyes
• Unusual bleeding or bruising

How to Use KEFLOR DROP (CEFACLOR 50MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor
• Can be taken with or without food, though food may help reduce stomach upset
• Swallow tablets/capsules with water; shake syrup well before use
• Complete the full course even if you feel better
• Take at evenly spaced intervals as advised

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from heat and moisture
• Keep syrup in a refrigerator if instructed by the pharmacist, but do not freeze
• Keep out of reach of children
• Discard any unused liquid after the recommended period
