This medicine is mainly used to treat bacterial infections of the eye or ear that are accompanied by pain, redness, swelling or discomfort.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Bacterial infections of the eye (conjunctivitis, post-surgical infection)
- Bacterial infections of the ear (otitis externa, discharge from ear)
- Associated pain, swelling and inflammation due to infection
- Prevention of infection after eye surgery, when prescribed
HOW IT WORKS
- Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that kills the bacteria causing the infection
- Ketorolac reduces pain, swelling and inflammation caused by infection or surgery
- Benzalkonium chloride acts as a preservative and has mild antimicrobial action, keeping the drop solution sterile
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Viral or fungal eye/ear infections
- Dry eyes without infection
- Routine eye irritation caused by dust or allergy alone
- Long-term or preventive use without doctor's advice

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS
- Temporary burning or stinging after applying drops

How to Use KETLUR PLUS EYE DROP (KETOROLAC + OFLOXACIN + BENZALKONIUM)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Use only in the eye or ear as advised by your doctor, not for oral use
- Wash your hands before use
- Tilt your head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid to instil the drop, or tilt head sideways for ear use
- Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye, ear or any surface to prevent contamination
- Use exactly the number of drops and number of times per day as prescribed by your doctor
- Do not stop the medicine early even if symptoms improve, unless your doctor advises
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
- Do not apply double the dose to make up for a missed one
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat
- Keep the cap tightly closed after use
- Do not use after the bottle has been opened for the period mentioned on the label (usually 4 weeks)
- Keep out of reach of children
- Discard if the solution changes colour or becomes cloudy

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
- Are allergic to ketorolac, ofloxacin, other quinolone antibiotics, or benzalkonium chloride
- Have a viral or fungal infection of the eye or ear
- Are a child below the age recommended by your doctor
TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU
- Wear contact lenses
- Have a history of bleeding disorders or are on blood thinners
- Have kidney or liver disease
- Are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding
- Have had a perforated eardrum (for ear use)
MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT
- Other eye or ear drops used at the same time
- Blood thinning medicines like warfarin or aspirin
- Other NSAIDs taken orally
- Steroid eye drops, unless specifically advised together by your doctor
