Uses and Benefits of LECOPE-AD TABLET (Levocetirizine 5mg + Ambroxol 60mg + Phenylephrine 5mg)

This medicine is used to treat symptoms of common cold, flu, allergic rhinitis and chest congestion where cough with mucus, nasal blockage and allergy symptoms occur together.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Relief of blocked or stuffy nose
• Relief of sneezing, watery eyes and runny nose due to allergy
• Helping loosen and clear mucus from the chest
• Symptomatic relief in cold, flu and sinus congestion

HOW IT WORKS

• Levocetirizine is an antihistamine that blocks the action of histamine, reducing allergy symptoms
• Ambroxol is a mucolytic that thins thick mucus, making it easier to cough out
• Phenylephrine is a decongestant that narrows blood vessels in the nose, reducing swelling and congestion

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It does not treat the underlying cause of infection, such as bacteria or virus
• It is not a cure for asthma or chronic lung disease
• It should not be used for chest pain or heart-related breathlessness
• Not meant for long-term daily use without medical supervision

How to Use LECOPE-AD TABLET (Levocetirizine 5mg + Ambroxol 60mg + Phenylephrine 5mg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with or after food
• Swallow the tablet or take the liquid with water, as instructed
• Do not increase the dose or take it more often than prescribed
• Avoid taking it close to bedtime if it causes restlessness, or take at night if it causes drowsiness, as advised
• Do not use for more than the number of days advised by your doctor

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct heat, light and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
• Discard leftover liquid formulation as per the label instructions

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to Levocetirizine, Ambroxol, Phenylephrine or similar medicines
• Have severe high blood pressure or heart disease
• Have severe kidney disease
• Are taking or have recently stopped MAO inhibitor medicines
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding, unless advised by your doctor

TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU

• Have high blood pressure, heart disease or thyroid problems
• Have diabetes
• Have glaucoma or difficulty passing urine due to enlarged prostate
• Have kidney or liver problems
• Are elderly or giving this medicine to a child

MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT

• Other decongestants or cold and flu medicines
• Medicines for high blood pressure
• Antidepressants, especially MAO inhibitors
• Sedatives, sleeping pills or alcohol
• Other antihistamines
