Chlordiazepoxide is used to treat anxiety disorders and to manage symptoms of alcohol withdrawal.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Short-term relief of anxiety and tension
• Managing symptoms of acute alcohol withdrawal such as tremors and agitation
• Sometimes used before surgery to reduce anxiety, as directed by the doctor
• Occasionally used for muscle relaxation in certain conditions

HOW IT WORKS

• It enhances the effect of a calming brain chemical called GABA
• This slows down excess nerve activity in the brain

How to Use LIBRIUM 25MG TABLET (CHLORDIAZEPOXIDE (25MG))

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with water

• Do not increase the dose or take it more often than prescribed
• Do not stop suddenly without asking your doctor, as this may cause withdrawal symptoms
• Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
