Uses and Benefits of LOFECAM 4MG TABLET (LORNOXICAM (4MG))

Lornoxicam is used to treat pain and swelling caused by joint and muscle conditions, as well as short-term pain relief after surgery.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Relief of pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis
• Relief of pain and inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis
• Management of mild to moderate post-operative pain
• Relief of acute musculoskeletal pain

HOW IT WORKS

• Blocks enzymes called cyclo-oxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2)
• Reduces production of prostaglandins, chemicals that cause pain, swelling, and fever
• Helps reduce inflammation and provide pain relief

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for treating infections
• Not a first-choice medicine for fever alone
• Not meant for long-term daily use without medical supervision
• Not used to treat chronic conditions unrelated to pain or inflammation

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Stomach pain or discomfort

• Signs of stomach bleeding such as black stools or vomiting blood
• Severe allergic reaction with swelling of face, lips, or throat
• Difficulty breathing
• Yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice)
• Severe skin reactions like blistering or peeling
• Sudden decrease in urine output

How to Use LOFECAM 4MG TABLET (LORNOXICAM (4MG))

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor
• Usually taken with or after food to reduce stomach upset
• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water
• Do not crush or chew unless advised
• Do not take more than the prescribed dose or for longer than recommended

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one
• Contact your doctor if you miss doses frequently

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children and pets
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
• Dispose of unused medicine properly, do not flush down the drain

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to lornoxicam or other NSAIDs
• Have a history of stomach ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding
• Have severe kidney or liver disease
• Are in the last trimester of pregnancy
• Have active peptic ulcer disease
