Uses and Benefits of LOTEPRED-T EYE DROP (LOTEPREDNOL ETABONATE+TOBRANYCIN)
This medicine is used for eye conditions where inflammation and bacterial infection occur together.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Treating inflammation of the eye caused by or associated with bacterial infection
- Post-operative eye inflammation with risk of infection
- Certain cases of blepharitis, conjunctivitis, and keratitis with bacterial involvement
HOW IT WORKS
- Loteprednol is a corticosteroid that reduces swelling, redness, and irritation in the eye
- Tobramycin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria causing or complicating the eye infection
- Together they control both inflammation and infection at the same time
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Viral or fungal eye infections
- Eye infections without any inflammatory component
- Routine dry eyes or allergic eye itching without infection
- Use in the other eye unless prescribed
Always use this medicine only for the eye condition your doctor has diagnosed and prescribed it for.

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS
- Mild burning or stinging after applying the drops
- Watering of the eyes
- Blurred vision for a short time after application
- Eye discomfort or itching
LESS COMMON SIDE EFFECTS
- Increased sensitivity to light
- Dryness of the eye
- Eyelid swelling or redness
- Headache
SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY
- Sudden severe eye pain or worsening redness
- Increased pressure in the eye (may cause halos, headache, or vision changes)
- Signs of allergic reaction such as swelling of face, lips, or difficulty breathing
- Significant vision loss or persistent blurred vision
- Signs of new infection or non-healing eye after prolonged use

How to Use LOTEPRED-T EYE DROP (LOTEPREDNOL ETABONATE+TOBRANYCIN)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Use only in the eye(s) as advised by your doctor
- Wash your hands before applying the drops or ointment
- Tilt your head back, pull down the lower eyelid gently, and apply the drop or small amount of ointment inside the lid
- Avoid touching the dropper tip or ointment nozzle to your eye or any surface
- Close your eyes gently for a minute after applying to help absorption
- If using other eye drops, wait at least 5-10 minutes between different medicines
- Do not stop the medicine early even if symptoms improve, unless your doctor tells you to
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Apply it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as scheduled
- Do not apply double the amount to make up for a missed dose
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature away from direct sunlight and heat
- Keep the container tightly closed
- Do not use after the bottle has been opened for more than the period mentioned on the label
- Keep out of reach of children

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
- Are allergic to loteprednol, tobramycin, or any other ingredient in the product
- Have a viral, fungal, or untreated infection of the eye
- Have active herpes simplex eye infection
TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU
- Have glaucoma or history of increased eye pressure
- Have cataracts or other eye conditions
- Wear contact lenses
- Are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding
- Have had recent eye surgery
- Are using any other eye medicines
MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT
- Other corticosteroid eye preparations
- Other topical antibiotics used in the eye
- Any other eye drops used at the same time — space them out as advised
