Uses and Benefits of LUPILA D TABLET (DOMPERIDONE 30 MG + ILAPRAZOLE 10 MG)

This combination is mainly used to treat acidity-related conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and gastritis, especially when these are accompanied by nausea, vomiting, bloating or a feeling of fullness after eating.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Acid reflux and heartburn
• Peptic ulcers and gastritis
• Nausea and vomiting linked to acidity
• Bloating, indigestion and early fullness after meals

HOW IT WORKS

• Ilaprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that reduces acid production in the stomach
• Domperidone increases the movement of the stomach and intestines, helping food pass through faster
• Domperidone also blocks signals in the brain that cause nausea and vomiting
• Together they relieve both the acid problem and the associated stomach discomfort

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for general pain relief
• Not a treatment for infections or food poisoning-related diarrhoea

• Yellowing of skin or eyes, dark urine (signs of liver problems)
• Severe or persistent diarrhoea
• Signs of low magnesium such as muscle cramps, spasms or seizures with long-term use

How to Use LUPILA D TABLET (DOMPERIDONE 30 MG + ILAPRAZOLE 10 MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually before a meal
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless your doctor says it is fine
• Take it at the same time each day for best results
• Do not increase the dose or take it for longer than advised
• Continue taking it for the full course even if you feel better, unless your doctor tells you to stop

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take the missed dose as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual
• Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep in the original blister/pack until ready to use
• Keep out of reach of children and pets

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to domperidone, ilaprazole or similar medicines
• Have a known heart rhythm problem or are taking medicines that can affect heart rhythm
• Have a bleeding or blockage problem in the stomach or intestine
• Have a tumour of the pituitary gland (prolactinoma)
• Have moderate to severe liver disease

• Are taking other medicines, supplements or herbal products
• Are due to have any blood tests, as this medicine can affect results

• Other acid-reducing medicines
• Blood thinners like warfarin
