LESS COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Thickening or pitting of skin at injection site (lipodystrophy)
• Blurred vision, especially when starting treatment
• Swelling of hands or feet

SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY

• Severe low blood sugar causing confusion, seizures, or loss of consciousness
• Signs of allergic reaction such as rash, swelling of face/lips/tongue, or difficulty breathing
• Very low potassium levels causing muscle weakness or irregular heartbeat
• Rapid weight gain or shortness of breath (may indicate fluid retention or heart problems)

How to Use LUPISULIN N Cartridge (Isophane Insulin 100IU/ml)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Inject under the skin (subcutaneously) as prescribed by your doctor, usually once or twice a day
• Rotate injection sites (thighs, abdomen, upper arms) to prevent skin problems
• Do not inject into a vein or muscle unless told by your doctor
• Mix the vial or pen gently before use, as this insulin is cloudy in appearance
• Take at the same time(s) each day for consistent blood sugar control
• Check your blood sugar regularly as advised by your doctor

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next dose
• Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one
