• Heavy bleeding that soaks more than two sanitary pads per hour for two hours
• Severe abdominal pain not relieved by painkillers
• Fever lasting more than a day or high fever with chills
• Foul-smelling vaginal discharge
• Signs of infection such as persistent fever, weakness, or fainting
• No bleeding at all after taking the medicine

How to Use MIFEPRIN KIT (MIFEPRISTONE+MISOPROSTOL)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually mifepristone first followed by misoprostol after the advised gap
• Misoprostol may be taken orally or placed as directed by the doctor (vaginally or under the tongue)
• Follow the exact timing and method your doctor explains, as this affects how well the treatment works
• Do not take extra tablets or repeat doses on your own
• Attend the follow-up visit to confirm the pregnancy has been fully expelled

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• This is a time-sensitive treatment, so contact your doctor immediately if you miss or delay a dose

This medicine is prescription-only in India and must be used strictly under medical supervision, usually at a registered clinic or hospital.

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Have a confirmed or suspected ectopic pregnancy
• Have an IUD (copper-T) still in place
• Have chronic adrenal failure or are on long-term steroid therapy
• Have a known bleeding disorder or are on blood thinners
• Are allergic to mifepristone or misoprostol

TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU

• Have anaemia or any bleeding problem
• Have liver or kidney disease
• Have uncontrolled asthma
• Have heart disease
• Are breastfeeding
• Do not have easy access to a hospital in case of emergency

MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT

• Blood thinners such as warfarin or heparin
• Long-term corticosteroid medicines
• Other NSAID painkillers, which may be limited around the time of treatment
• Any other medicine you are taking should be discussed with your doctor beforehand
