Uses and Benefits of MINOZ OD 100MG CAPSULE (Minocycline 100mg)

Minocycline is used to treat infections caused by susceptible bacteria and certain skin conditions.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Moderate to severe acne
• Respiratory tract infections
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Urinary tract infections
• Certain sexually transmitted infections
• Rickettsial infections and some other specific bacterial infections as advised by your doctor

HOW IT WORKS

• It blocks bacterial protein production, which stops bacteria from growing and multiplying
• This allows the body's own immune system to clear the remaining infection
• It is active against a broad range of bacteria, including some that resist other antibiotics

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It does not treat viral infections such as common cold or flu
• It is not a painkiller
• It should not be used for infections known to be resistant to tetracyclines

How to Use MINOZ OD 100MG CAPSULE (Minocycline 100mg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with a full glass of water
• Can be taken with or without food, but taking with food may reduce stomach upset
• Avoid taking with milk, antacids, or iron supplements as they can reduce absorption; separate these by a few hours
• Swallow the tablet or capsule whole; do not crush or chew unless advised
• Complete the full course even if you feel better, unless your doctor tells you to stop
• Avoid lying down immediately after taking this medicine

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
