This combination is mainly prescribed for people with high cholesterol who also have, or are at risk of, heart disease or stroke.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Lowering high cholesterol and triglyceride levels
• Reducing risk of heart attack, angina, and stroke in high-risk patients
• Secondary prevention after a heart attack, stroke, or stent/bypass procedure
• Long-term management of cardiovascular risk along with lifestyle changes

HOW IT WORKS

• Atorvastatin blocks an enzyme (HMG-CoA reductase) in the liver that makes cholesterol, lowering LDL levels
• Aspirin is an antiplatelet agent; it stops platelets from clumping together and forming clots that block blood vessels
• Together they reduce cholesterol build-up in arteries and lower the chance of clot-related events

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not for treating an acute heart attack or stroke happening right now
• Not a painkiller for headache, fever, or body ache at this dose

How to Use MODLIP ASG 20MG CAPSULE (Atorvastatin 20mg + Aspirin 75mg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day
• Atorvastatin is often taken in the evening or at night; aspirin is usually taken with or after food to reduce stomach irritation
• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not crush or chew unless your doctor says so
• Continue taking it even if you feel well — it works silently to control cholesterol and prevent clots
• Avoid grapefruit juice as it may affect how the medicine works

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
• Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
