This combination is mainly used for the long-term prevention of heart attack and stroke in people who have high cholesterol along with risk of blood clot formation.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Lowering high cholesterol and triglyceride levels
• Reducing risk of heart attack and stroke in people with heart disease or risk factors
• Secondary prevention after a heart attack, stroke, or stenting procedure
• Managing patients with diabetes or high blood pressure who have added heart risk

HOW IT WORKS

• Atorvastatin blocks an enzyme in the liver that makes cholesterol, lowering LDL and raising HDL
• Aspirin blocks platelet clumping, making blood less likely to form clots that block arteries
• Together they help protect arteries from narrowing and blockage

HOW TO TAKE IT
