Uses and Benefits of MODLIP ASG 75 NEW (Atorvastatin 10mg + Aspirin 75mg)
This combination is mainly used for the long-term prevention of heart attack and stroke in people who have high cholesterol along with risk of blood clot formation.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Lowering high cholesterol and triglyceride levels
- Reducing risk of heart attack and stroke in people with heart disease or risk factors
- Secondary prevention after a heart attack, stroke, or stenting procedure
- Managing patients with diabetes or high blood pressure who have added heart risk
HOW IT WORKS
- Atorvastatin blocks an enzyme in the liver that makes cholesterol, lowering LDL and raising HDL
- Aspirin blocks platelet clumping, making blood less likely to form clots that block arteries
- Together they help protect arteries from narrowing and blockage
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not a painkiller for headache or body ache
- Not used for immediate relief of chest pain during an active heart attack
- Not a treatment for infections or fever
- Not recommended for general prevention in people without heart risk, unless advised by a doctor

- Yellowing of skin or eyes, severe stomach pain (signs of liver problems)
- Black or bloody stools, or vomiting blood
- Signs of bleeding such as unusual bruising, nosebleeds, or blood in urine
- Severe allergic reaction with swelling of face, lips, throat, or difficulty breathing
- Ringing in ears or sudden hearing changes

How to Use MODLIP ASG 75 NEW (Atorvastatin 10mg + Aspirin 75mg)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
- Atorvastatin is often taken at night, aspirin is usually taken with or after food to reduce stomach irritation
- Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, do not crush or chew unless advised
- Take it at the same time every day to build a routine
- Continue taking it even if you feel well, as it works silently to protect your heart
- Do not stop suddenly without consulting your doctor
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
