Uses and Benefits of MUCOLITE DROP (AMBROXOL 7.5MG)
Ambroxol 7.5mg is mainly used to treat cough with thick mucus caused by respiratory conditions.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Cough associated with excess or thick mucus
- Chest congestion due to cold, bronchitis or other respiratory tract conditions
- As an add-on treatment to help clear airways in respiratory illnesses
HOW IT WORKS
- Ambroxol works by breaking down the structure of mucus, making it thinner and less sticky
- This helps the mucus move more easily and be coughed out from the airways
- It also helps improve the movement of tiny hair-like structures (cilia) in the airway lining that clear mucus
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not used for dry cough without mucus
- It is not an antibiotic and does not treat bacterial or viral infections directly
- It is not meant for long-term use without medical supervision
- It should not be used as a substitute for treating the underlying cause of cough, such as infection or allergy
