HOW IT WORKS

• It is converted in the liver into phenobarbitone and PEMA, both active substances
• These substances reduce abnormal electrical activity in the brain
• This helps prevent the spread of seizure activity and reduces tremor

• It is not a painkiller and does not treat headaches
• It is not used for anxiety or sleep disorders as a first choice

How to Use MYSOLINE TABLET (PRIMIDONE (250MG))

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with water
• Can be taken with or after food if it causes stomach upset
• Do not stop suddenly, as this can trigger seizures — your doctor will reduce the dose gradually if it needs to be stopped
• Take at the same time(s) each day to keep a steady level in the body
• Do not change the dose on your own, even if you feel better

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
• If you miss doses often, tell your doctor as this can affect seizure control
