Uses and Benefits of NALTIMA 50MG TABLET (Naltrexone 50mg)

Naltrexone is prescribed to support recovery from opioid dependence and alcohol dependence as part of a treatment plan.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Preventing relapse in people who have stopped using opioids (like heroin) and are opioid-free
• Helping reduce alcohol cravings and supporting abstinence in alcohol dependence
• Used along with counselling and support programs, not as a standalone cure

HOW IT WORKS

• It blocks opioid receptors in the brain so opioids cannot produce their usual effects

• It does not itself cause dependence or a high

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

How to Use NALTIMA 50MG TABLET (Naltrexone 50mg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily

• Do not stop opioids or alcohol suddenly without medical guidance before starting this medicine
• You must be opioid-free for the period advised by your doctor (usually several days) before starting, to avoid sudden withdrawal
• Do not increase the dose on your own even if cravings continue; discuss with your doctor

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
