Uses and Benefits of NICIP 50MG SYRUP (NIMESULIDE 50MG)
Nimesulide 50mg is used to treat pain and inflammation associated with various conditions in adults.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Relief of acute pain such as osteoarthritis pain
- Muscle and joint pain, sprains and strains
- Menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea)
- Pain and inflammation after minor surgery or injury
- Fever reduction in adults
HOW IT WORKS
- It blocks an enzyme called COX-2 that produces chemicals (prostaglandins) causing pain, swelling and fever
- By reducing prostaglandins, it lowers inflammation, eases pain and brings down body temperature
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not for long-term daily use for chronic pain conditions
- Not a first-choice medicine for children or adolescents
- Not used to treat infections, as it has no antibacterial action
- Not recommended for routine use in mild headaches when safer options are available
- Not suitable for chronic pain management without medical supervision

How to Use NICIP 50MG SYRUP (NIMESULIDE 50MG)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually after food to reduce stomach upset
- Swallow the tablet with a glass of water
- Do not crush or chew unless advised
- Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration needed
- Do not take with other NSAIDs like ibuprofen or diclofenac unless your doctor says so
- Do not exceed the dose or duration advised by your doctor
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
- This medicine is usually taken only when needed for pain or fever, so missed doses are less of a concern
