WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treating schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders
• Treating manic episodes in bipolar disorder
• Preventing recurrence of mood episodes in bipolar disorder
• Sometimes used along with other medicines for severe mood disturbances

HOW IT WORKS

• Belongs to a class of medicines called atypical antipsychotics
• Works by balancing certain natural chemicals (dopamine and serotonin) in the brain
• This helps reduce hallucinations, delusions, and disturbed thinking
• Also helps stabilise mood swings in bipolar disorder

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor
