This medicine is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) that is not adequately controlled by a single medicine alone.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Long-term control of high blood pressure
• Used when one blood pressure medicine alone is not enough
• Helps reduce risk of stroke, heart attack and kidney problems linked to high blood pressure

HOW IT WORKS

• Olmesartan blocks a hormone called angiotensin II, which relaxes and widens blood vessels
• Indapamide is a diuretic (water pill) that helps the kidneys remove extra salt and water
• Together they lower blood pressure more effectively than either medicine alone

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not for emergency treatment of very high blood pressure crisis
• Not a painkiller or fever medicine
• Not for treating infections
• Not recommended for use during pregnancy
• Not suitable for immediate, one-time use to lower a sudden spike in blood pressure

• Severe dizziness or fainting

• Muscle weakness, cramps or irregular heartbeat (possible electrolyte imbalance)
• Yellowing of skin or eyes, dark urine (possible liver problem)
• Severe skin reaction with blistering or peeling
• Very reduced urine output

How to Use OLMY-D 20 TABLET (OLMESARTAN 20MG+INDAPAMIDE 1.5MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day
• Swallow the tablet with a glass of water
• Can be taken with or without food, but try to take it at the same time every day
• Do not stop taking it suddenly even if you feel well, as blood pressure medicines usually need to be taken long term
• Continue taking it regularly to get the full benefit

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take the missed dose as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep in the original blister pack until ready to use
• Keep out of reach of children

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
