This combination is prescribed for acid-related stomach problems that also involve nausea, bloating, or slow digestion.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Acid reflux (GERD) and heartburn
- Stomach ulcers and acid-related stomach pain
- Indigestion with nausea, vomiting, bloating or early fullness
- Gastritis symptoms caused by excess stomach acid
HOW IT WORKS
- Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that blocks acid-producing pumps in the stomach lining, lowering acid levels
- Domperidone increases the movement of the stomach and intestines, helping food pass through faster and reducing nausea and vomiting
- Together they relieve both acid symptoms and the digestive discomfort that comes with them
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not a painkiller for general body pain or headache
- Not meant for infections or food poisoning without acid-related symptoms
- Not a treatment for long-term motility disorders without doctor supervision
- Not for use as a routine appetite stimulant

- Yellowing of skin or eyes (signs of liver problems)
- Signs of low magnesium such as muscle cramps, tremors or seizures
- Severe stomach pain or blood in vomit or stools

How to Use OMEPREN-D CAPSULE (Omeprazole 20mg + Domperidone 30mg)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
- Take on an empty stomach, generally 30 minutes before a meal, unless your doctor advises otherwise
- Swallow the tablet or capsule whole with water; do not chew or crush unless instructed
- Do not take for longer than prescribed without medical advice
- Avoid alcohol and very spicy or oily food while on treatment for better relief
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your normal schedule
- Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct heat, light and moisture
- Keep in the original pack until ready to use
- Keep out of reach and sight of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
- Are allergic to omeprazole, domperidone, or similar medicines
- Have a known heart rhythm problem or are taking medicines that affect heart rhythm
- Have a prolactin-related tumour (pituitary gland)
- Have moderate to severe liver disease
TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU
- Are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding
- Have any heart disease or history of irregular heartbeat
- Have liver or kidney problems
- Are on long-term treatment, as prolonged acid suppression may need monitoring
- Are due for any endoscopy or bone density related tests
MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT
- Other medicines affecting heart rhythm (certain antibiotics, antifungals, antipsychotics)
- Blood thinners like warfarin
- Antifungal or antiviral medicines whose absorption depends on stomach acid
- Other domperidone-containing or acid-reducing products
- Medicines for HIV or certain seizure medicines
