This medicine is used to treat conditions caused by excess stomach acid.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Acid reflux (GERD) and heartburn
• Stomach and duodenal ulcers
• Prevention of ulcers caused by long-term use of pain-relief medicines
• Excess acid conditions like Zollinger-Ellison syndrome
• As part of combination therapy to treat H. pylori infection along with antibiotics

HOW IT WORKS

• It blocks the acid pumps in the stomach lining
• This reduces the amount of acid produced
• Lower acid levels help heal irritation and ulcers and relieve heartburn

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not a painkiller and does not relieve general body pain
• It does not treat infections on its own unless combined with antibiotics as prescribed
• It is not meant for immediate relief of a single episode of acidity; antacids work faster for quick relief

• Signs of low magnesium such as muscle spasms, irregular heartbeat, or seizures
• Severe or watery diarrhoea that does not stop
• Yellowing of skin or eyes, dark urine, indicating liver problems

How to Use OMEZ 10MG CAPSULE (OMEPRAZOLE 10MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor
• Usually taken once daily, preferably in the morning before food
• Swallow the tablet or capsule whole with water; do not chew or crush unless your doctor says it is safe to do so
• Take at the same time each day for best effect
• Continue for the full duration advised, even if you feel better earlier

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight
• Keep in a dry place, away from moisture
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
