This medicine is commonly prescribed to relieve pain and swelling caused by injury, surgery, dental procedures and musculoskeletal conditions.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Pain and swelling after injury or surgery
• Dental pain and swelling after tooth extraction
• Joint pain, such as in arthritis or sprains
• Muscle pain and stiffness
• Ear, nose and throat infections with swelling

HOW IT WORKS

• Nimesulide blocks certain chemicals (prostaglandins) in the body that cause pain, fever and inflammation
• Serratiopeptidase is an enzyme that helps break down inflammatory fluid and proteins, reducing swelling and helping pain relief
• Together they act faster to reduce pain, swelling and stiffness compared to either alone

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for long-term daily pain control
• Not a treatment for the underlying cause of arthritis or infection
• Not meant for children below 12 years
• Not to be used for chronic conditions without medical supervision
• Not a substitute for antibiotics in infections

• Yellowing of eyes or skin (signs of liver problems)
• Black or bloody stools, vomiting blood

• Swelling of face, lips, throat or difficulty breathing (allergic reaction)
• Unusual bleeding or bruising
• Reduced urine output or swelling in legs
• Severe skin reaction with blisters or peeling

How to Use ORTHOBID PLUS TABLET (NIMESULIDE (100MG) + SERRATIOPEPTIDASE (10MG))

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually after food to reduce stomach upset
• Swallow the tablet with a glass of water, do not crush or chew unless advised
• Do not take for longer than prescribed
• Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine
• Do not take with other pain-relief or anti-inflammatory medicines unless your doctor says so

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
• Do not store in the bathroom or near a sink

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to Nimesulide, Serratiopeptidase or other NSAIDs
• Have active stomach ulcers or bleeding
• Have severe liver or kidney disease
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Are a child below 12 years
• Have a history of asthma triggered by NSAIDs
