Uses and Benefits of P2 IL CAPSULE (Pantoprazole 40mg + Levosulpiride 75mg)
This combination medicine is mainly used for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and related digestive disorders that involve both excess acid and poor stomach movement.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Acid reflux and heartburn
- GERD with bloating, nausea or early fullness
- Functional dyspepsia (indigestion) with delayed stomach emptying
- Nausea and vomiting linked to slow gut motility
HOW IT WORKS
- Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that blocks acid-producing pumps in the stomach lining, reducing acid levels
- Levosulpiride is a prokinetic agent that increases stomach and intestinal contractions, helping food move through the digestive tract faster
- Together they relieve acid-related symptoms and improve digestion speed
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not for general pain relief
- Not a treatment for infections or ulcers caused by bacteria alone (though it may be used alongside other medicines for H. pylori)
- Not meant for occasional, mild indigestion that resolves on its own
- Not suitable for long-term unsupervised use without doctor follow-up
