This medicine is commonly prescribed for acid-related stomach problems combined with symptoms of nausea, vomiting, bloating, or a feeling of fullness after eating.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Acidity and heartburn
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
- Acid-related indigestion with nausea or vomiting
- Stomach discomfort caused by excess acid along with delayed stomach emptying
HOW IT WORKS
- Pantoprazole blocks the acid pump in the stomach lining, reducing acid production
- Domperidone increases movement of the stomach and intestines, helping food pass through faster
- Domperidone also acts on the brain's vomiting centre to reduce nausea and vomiting
- Together they relieve both acid symptoms and associated nausea/bloating
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not a painkiller for general body pain
- Not meant for infections or food poisoning-related diarrhoea
- Not for long-term use without medical supervision
- Not a substitute for treating underlying causes like ulcers or H. pylori infection without proper diagnosis

HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor
- Usually taken once daily, before a meal, typically in the morning
- Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not chew or crush it unless your doctor says so
- Take it at the same time each day for best results
- Do not stop the medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take the missed dose as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual
- Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep the medicine in its original packaging until use
- Keep out of reach and sight of children

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
- Are allergic to pantoprazole, domperidone, or any ingredient in the tablet
- Have a known heart rhythm problem or are taking medicines that affect heart rhythm
- Have moderate to severe liver disease
- Have a tumour of the pituitary gland (prolactinoma)
- Have bleeding in the stomach or intestines that has not been evaluated
TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU
- Have kidney or liver disease
- Have any existing heart condition
- Are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding
- Are taking other medicines, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements
- Have osteoporosis or low bone density (long-term use of pantoprazole may affect bone health)
MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT
- Ketoconazole or other antifungal drugs
- Certain antibiotics like erythromycin
- Medicines for HIV such as atazanavir
- Blood thinners like warfarin
- Other drugs affecting heart rhythm
