WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Relief of occasional constipation

HOW IT WORKS

• It stimulates the nerve endings in the wall of the large intestine
• This increases muscle movement (peristalsis) in the bowel
• It also helps draw water into the bowel, softening stools
• Bowel movement usually happens within 6 to 12 hours of taking it

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not a treatment for the underlying cause of chronic constipation
• It is not meant for long-term or daily use
• It does not treat diarrhoea, infections, or abdominal pain unrelated to constipation
• It should not be used to promote weight loss

HOW TO TAKE IT

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
