This medicine is mainly used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults who need more than one medicine to control it.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Control of high blood pressure
• Combination therapy when a single blood pressure medicine is not enough
• Long-term management of hypertension to reduce risk of heart attack, stroke, and kidney problems

HOW IT WORKS

• Olmesartan blocks angiotensin II, a chemical that narrows blood vessels, helping vessels relax and widen
• Metoprolol blocks the action of adrenaline on the heart, slowing heart rate and reducing the force of contraction
• Together they lower blood pressure through two different mechanisms, giving better control

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for immediate relief of a hypertensive emergency
• Not a treatment for common chest infections or fever

• Severe diarrhoea with weight loss (rare intestinal problem linked to olmesartan)
• Signs of high potassium such as muscle weakness or irregular heartbeat
• Yellowing of skin or eyes
• Chest pain or worsening shortness of breath

How to Use PINOM- M 25MG TABLET (OLMESARTAN MEDOXOMIL 20 MG + METOPROLOL SUCCINATE 25 MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew extended-release tablets
• Take at the same time every day to maintain steady blood levels
• Can be taken with or without food, but be consistent with your chosen routine
• Do not stop suddenly without asking your doctor, as this can cause a sudden rise in heart rate or blood pressure

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep in the original pack until it is time to take the medicine

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are pregnant or planning pregnancy
• Have a very slow heart rate, heart block, or severe heart failure that is not stable
• Have severely low blood pressure
• Are allergic to olmesartan, metoprolol, or any other ingredient in the tablet
• Have severe asthma or bronchospasm

TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU

• Have kidney or liver disease
• Have diabetes, as beta-blockers can mask signs of low blood sugar
• Have asthma or other breathing problems
