This combination is prescribed to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other serious heart problems in people with coronary artery disease, particularly those who have had a heart attack or undergone angioplasty with stent placement.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Preventing blood clots after a heart attack (acute coronary syndrome)
• Preventing clots after coronary stent placement or angioplasty
• Reducing risk of future heart attack or stroke in high-risk heart patients

HOW IT WORKS

• Prasugrel blocks platelet receptors so platelets cannot stick together easily
• Aspirin blocks a chemical (thromboxane) that helps platelets clump
• Together they lower the chance of a clot blocking blood flow to the heart or brain

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for routine pain relief or fever
• Not used for general headache or minor aches
• Not a treatment for existing blood clots that need clot-dissolving drugs

How to Use PRAX-A 75MG CAPSULE (Prasugrel 10mg + Aspirin 75mg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day
• Can be taken with or without food, but try to take it at the same time every day
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless your doctor says so
• Do not stop this medicine suddenly without talking to your doctor, especially if you have a stent, as stopping early can increase risk of clot formation
• Continue taking it for as long as your doctor recommends, even if you feel well

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take the missed dose as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep in the original pack until it is time to take the tablet
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
