WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treating high blood pressure
• Supporting treatment of heart failure or after a heart attack, when prescribed by a doctor
• Reducing strain on the heart in people with certain chronic heart conditions

HOW IT WORKS

• Metoprolol Succinate blocks certain stress hormone receptors on the heart, slowing heart rate and reducing its workload
• Ramipril blocks an enzyme that narrows blood vessels, helping vessels relax and lowering blood pressure
• Together they help control blood pressure and reduce strain on the heart

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day
• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not crush or chew unless your doctor says it is safe
• Try to take it at the same time every day for consistent effect
• Can be taken with or without food, unless your doctor advises otherwise
• Do not stop taking suddenly without consulting your doctor, especially the beta-blocker component, as this can be harmful

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to Metoprolol, Ramipril, or any ACE inhibitor/beta-blocker

• Have a history of angioedema related to ACE inhibitors
• Are pregnant or planning pregnancy
