Rabeprazole 40mg is used to treat conditions caused by excess stomach acid.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) causing heartburn and acid regurgitation
• Stomach and duodenal ulcers
• Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, a rare condition causing excess acid production
• Prevention and treatment of ulcers caused by long-term use of pain-relief medicines (NSAIDs)
• As part of combination therapy to treat H. pylori infection along with antibiotics

HOW IT WORKS

• It blocks the proton pumps in the stomach lining that produce acid
• This reduces the overall acid level in the stomach, allowing healing of irritated or damaged tissue

HOW TO TAKE IT
