Uses and Benefits of RELAXYL PLUS TABLET (ACECLOFENAC I. P + ACETAMINOPHEN I.P)

This composition is commonly prescribed for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with conditions such as arthritis, muscle sprains, back pain, dental pain, and post-operative pain, along with reducing fever.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Relief of mild to moderate pain
• Reducing inflammation and swelling in joints and muscles
• Managing pain from injuries, sprains, and dental procedures
• Reducing fever

HOW IT WORKS

• Aceclofenac blocks enzymes (COX) that produce pain- and inflammation-causing chemicals in the body
• Acetaminophen acts on the brain's pain and temperature-regulating centres to relieve pain and reduce fever
• Together they give faster and more complete relief than either medicine alone

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not a cure for the underlying disease causing pain, such as arthritis
• Not meant for long-term daily use without medical supervision
• Not used for infections, allergies, or as an antibiotic substitute
• Not recommended for chronic pain management without doctor review

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Black or bloody stools, or vomiting blood
• Severe stomach pain
• Yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice)
• Swelling of face, lips, throat or difficulty breathing
• Severe skin reaction with blistering or peeling
• Unusual bleeding or bruising
• Reduced urination or swelling of feet/ankles

How to Use RELAXYL PLUS TABLET (ACECLOFENAC I. P + ACETAMINOPHEN I.P)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor
• Swallow the tablet with water, preferably after food to reduce stomach upset
• Do not crush or chew unless your doctor or pharmacist says it is safe to do so
• Do not take more than the prescribed dose or for longer than advised
• Avoid taking other paracetamol-containing products at the same time

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
• If unsure, check with your pharmacist or doctor

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep out of reach and sight of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
• Dispose of unused medicine safely, do not flush down the drain

This is a prescription-only medicine in India and should be taken only under medical supervision.

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to aceclofenac, acetaminophen, or other NSAIDs
• Have active stomach or intestinal ulcers or bleeding
• Have severe liver or kidney disease
• Have a history of asthma triggered by NSAIDs
• Are in the third trimester of pregnancy

TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU

• Have heart disease, high blood pressure, or history of stroke
• Have liver or kidney problems
• Are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding
• Drink alcohol regularly
• Are elderly or on other pain medicines

MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT

• Blood thinners such as warfarin
• Other NSAIDs or aspirin
• Blood pressure medicines and diuretics
• Methotrexate
• Other medicines containing paracetamol
