WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

HOW IT WORKS

• Ibandronic Acid slows down the cells that break down bone, reducing bone loss

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not a painkiller and does not treat sudden bone or joint pain

SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY

• Severe chest pain or difficulty swallowing
• Jaw pain, swelling, or numbness (sign of jaw bone problems)
• Unusual thigh pain or new hip/groin pain
• Signs of allergic reaction: swelling of face/lips/tongue, difficulty breathing, severe rash
• Severe abdominal pain or black stools
• Eye pain, redness, or vision changes

How to Use ROCKBON KIT TABLET (IBANDRONIC ACID (150MG) + CALCIUM (250MG) + VITAMIN D3 (0.25MCG))

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a month
• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of plain water, first thing in the morning
• Do not lie down for at least 60 minutes after taking it
• Do not take with mineral water, tea, coffee, juice, or milk
• Wait at least 30-60 minutes before eating, drinking, or taking other medicines
• Take on the same date each month to avoid missing doses

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• If you miss your dose, take it the next morning after you remember, unless your next scheduled dose is near
• Do not take two doses close together to make up for a missed one
• Then go back to taking it on your usual monthly date
• Contact your doctor if you are unsure what to do

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from heat and moisture
• Keep in the original packaging until ready to use
• Keep out of reach of children and pets
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Have very low blood calcium levels that are not corrected
• Are unable to stand or sit upright for at least 60 minutes
• Have certain oesophagus problems that delay emptying
• Are allergic to Ibandronic Acid, Calcium, Vitamin D3, or related medicines
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding, unless specifically advised by your doctor

TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU

• Have kidney disease
• Have dental problems or need dental surgery/tooth extraction soon
• Have a history of swallowing difficulties or acid reflux
• Have high calcium levels or a history of kidney stones
• Are taking other bone-related medicines

MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT

• Antacids, calcium, or iron supplements taken at the same time
• Aspirin or NSAIDs (may increase stomach irritation)
• Other bisphosphonates
• Certain vitamin D or calcium-containing products
